Found at School Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Found at School, a product and service operated by Line Lead, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Found at School," "Found," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using Found at School, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you use the service on behalf of a school, the agreement between your district and us also applies and takes precedence where the two differ.

1. Who may use the service

You must be at least 18 and either the parent or legal guardian of a student at a participating school, or an employee of a participating school authorized by it. Children may not create accounts or use the service. One person per account; do not share sign-in.

2. Enrollment

Your account is tied to one school. A parent joins by matching a roster the school provides or by entering the school's enrollment code. Codes are issued by the school and are not to be shared outside the school community. School staff are added by the school's administrator. The school may remove an account from the school at any time.

3. What the service does and does not promise

The service helps match lost belongings with found ones and record their return. Matches are suggestions produced with the help of an automated description of found items; they can be wrong. The school's staff decide, in person, whether an item is handed to a family. We do not guarantee that a lost item will be found, matched, or returned, and we are not responsible for the condition of items.

4. Your responsibilities

• Photograph belongings, not people. Keep faces, name tags with personal details, and other people's belongings out of the frame. The app blurs faces it detects, but you are responsible for what you photograph.
• Report only items that belong to your child, and claim a match only if you believe in good faith that the item is your child's.
• Provide accurate information about your child; you may leave optional fields blank.
• School staff: log found items only for the school you belong to and follow your school's procedures for returning items.
• Do not attempt to access other families' or other schools' information, probe the service, or interfere with it.

5. Content you provide

You keep ownership of the photos and descriptions you provide. You give us permission to store, process, and show them within the service for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy, including describing found-item photos with an automated service to suggest matches. You may remove your reports at any time; removal deletes the photos.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how it is used, kept, and deleted, and how to download or delete your data. It is part of these terms.

7. Reporting a problem

Every match screen and the Profile tab have a "Report a problem" action that reaches us at support@foundat.school. We review reports of inappropriate photos or text and may remove content or suspend accounts.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end an account that violates these terms or is used to harm others. You may delete your account at any time from Profile. The school may end its use of the service, in which case accounts at that school are removed and data is deleted according to the Privacy Policy and the district agreement.

9. Changes

We may change these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, the district and account holders will be told before it takes effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the change.

10. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including the loss of an item. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes with a school district are handled under the district agreement.
